Jewar Airport: All the information you need to know about Noida International Airport

The upcoming Jewar airport might be completed six months earlier than anticipated. Arun Vir Singh, CEO of Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL), stated to Business Standard that “the first phase construction is going on in full swing and we are 6 months ahead of schedule.”

Nitin Gadkari, the minister of roads and highways, tweeted on July 8, 2022, that the government had approved the construction of a 31.425-km route connecting the Jewar Airport with the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

The business that will construct the six-lane link road is now being shortlisted by the National Highways Authority of India, and the project is anticipated to be awarded by the end of July.

The link road, which is being developed between the KMP Expressway and the DND Flyway, would begin near Ballabhag and be estimated to cost Rs 2,415 crores to complete.

The contract to build Noida’s Jewar Airport has been awarded to Tata Projects, a division of the Tata Group that specialises in infrastructure and construction. The company won the contract to construct Noida International Airport, the second international airport in the National Capital Region, by outbidding commercial conglomerates like Shapoorji Pallonji Group and Larsen & Toubro “on quality and cost-based selection criteria.”

The second airport project that Tata Projects has taken on is this one. In a record-breaking 11 months, the business previously constructed the new terminal at the airport in Prayagraj.

The Noida International Airport is anticipated to be operational by 2024 as plans for its development solidify.
